CLIMATE CHANGE COUNTDOWN
Australia’s Chief Scientist Penny Sackett, in March 2009, said the world had only six years to radically lower emissions or face calamitous, unstoppable global warming.
A weekly UNity CLIMATE CHANGE COUNTDOWN monitors time passing.
This week there are 266 weeks left in which to radically lower emissions.
WARNING: UNity readers should be aware that there appear to be a number of so-called United Nations organisations and conferences - some aimed at youth - which are promoted on the Internet but whose origins are dubious. It is particularly concerning when participants are invited to attend overseas conferences. The origins (and credibility) of some organisations are obscure and need careful scrutiny before any action is taken. It is very likely that some are bogus.
